| Payette Associates' philosophy is centered on planning and designing spaces and enduring buildings for people. As evidenced in this book, the firm creates spaces in which to conduct research and teaching for science, technology, medicine and health; places for campus and cultural life; and places for healthcare. These facilities are designed to promote human interaction, facilitate the exchange of ideas and provide physical comfort.
The firm's clients include colleges and universities, medical and health schools, hospitals, corporations, and cultural institutions. Payette Associates' history extends back to 1932, when architect Paul Nocka and Frederick Markus, an engineer and industrial designer, worked together on the landmark New York Hospital.
